The Kenora District Services Board (KDSB) is hosting a fundraiser in support of the Dryden and Area Community Well-Being Plans Youth Pillar. The fundraiser features an evening with former NHL All-Star, Theo Fleury in Dryden, ON, at The Centre.
Theo Fleury may be best known for his time on the ice as an NHL Stanley Cup Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist. Off the rink his life once carried the markings of a troubled childhood, abuse and coping with emotional pain through addictive and self-destructive behaviour. Theo’s story: “The Power of Me Too” is an uplifting talk about hope. It is a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles because we have all faced adversity in our lives.
Seat reservations are available to the public by visiting https://drydentheofleury.eventbrite.ca. Reservations will open to the public at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 12. The event takes place on Wednesday, November 7; Doors open to the public at 5:30 pm, Showtime is at 6:30 pm. Autographs and pictures with Theo to follow. This event is best suited for ages 12 and up.
